Hard Work Pays Off
As a company grows so does it’s employees, and we love to see employees rise through the difficult task handed to them and prevail. This is why Melissandre Cabral Perez and Magdala Paul have both been promoted after several years of work here at CallDirek. Former customer service manager Melissandre Perez was promoted to Account Receivable Supervisor in the accounting department. After two years of hard work Melissandre has proved to be a great asset to the company. "I am very excited about this opportunity it's a challenging task I cannot wait to take on" said Melissandre. CallDirek donates to Kako's Smile Project Haiti
MIAMI, FL, October 4, 2012 – In
support of the SMILE PROJECT HAITI, CallDirek has donated 17 computers to a
school in Haiti, which will serve for a new computer classroom. The founder of
the SMILE PROJECT HAITI Jacque “Kako” Bourjolie has been helping kids around
the country through his foundation for many years. The foundation holds
fundraisers, or comedy shows around the country to raise the awareness of
privileged to help out the less privileged. Thanks to the SMILE PROJECT HAITI,
many children now have homes, clothes, books and even schools to attend. The
future of Haiti is in the hands of the youth and the SMILE PROJECT HAITI would
like to see the kids they are helping be the leaders of tomorrow.

CallDirek at Compas Fest
The
weekend of the 18th of May has to be the most exhausting weekend of
year for us here at CallDirek. Calldirek sponsors every year the biggest Haitian
festival in Miami Compas Festival. Tuesday a couple of days before the event
promo bags were getting filled with T-shirts, pens, bottle opener key chains
and more. We rented a huge van to transport all of our equipment for the big
day compass fest. On Thursday we attended the Compas Fest press conference,
where artists like Mika Ben, Carimi, Gazman Coulè, La Rose and more spoke and as usual
reporters asked those tough questions. Some of the artists felt a little
insulted when a reporter asked them how they felt that “Compas Music” wasn’t
popular anymore. They fired back by replying; back in the days only one Compas
band travelled the world to perform, that band is Tropicana. Now there are
about 5 to 6 bands that travel the world to perform, like Carimi and T-Vice,
who have gone to France, Australia, Canada and more. Friday the tension aroused
in the office, by 12 PM a group of the staff went to Bayfront Park to start
setting up. Tents and banners were placed everywhere. The rain started to fall
but it did not stop us from accomplishing our mission. Soaked we anchored the
tents, climb ladders to tie banners and placed tear drop banners all over the park.
Finally the day had arrived Saturday! Compas fest was only hours away and
we still had some bam bams to blow up and a Blimp to fill with helium. The crew
woke up since 7 am and we all met at the
park at 8 to fix the minors details. We were greeted by the rain once again but
this time way too early. The event started and went on even with the massive
rain pouring people where coming in with ponchos and umbrellas the rain didn’t
stop the people from coming in an enjoying the great compas music and the incredible
Haitian food. The Musicians and bands sang their hearts out to celebrate Haiti’s
flag day, the people were dancing and chanting under the rain. By 7:30 the rain
stopped and more people started coming, the excitement was in the air, Haitian
beer was flowing the music was good the people dancing and chanting along with
their favorite bands. The Calldirek staff started giving out goody bags with
flash lights, shirts, pens and glow sticks. Within minutes the park was glowing
orange. It was a magnificent site to see. As the night ended, the staff wasn’t
done working we had to take everything down, tents and banners and load them on
the van. Compas Fest was a success the people were happy and the staff was
finally going to get some quality sleep.
I would like to give a special thanks to the staff that was present day and
night since Wednesday, Nahiman Moreno, Alexandre Laiutaud, Fabrice Laforest,
Fabienne Georges, Melissandre Cabral Perez, Juan Carlos and also our helpers for
Saturday, Bertrand Florville, Yadiris Brito, Natacha Morisseau, Laura Hernandez,
Auri Guevara and Solangie Rodriguez.

Calldirek Agent Support Team
Calldirek has well over 100,000 agents located throughout the United States and Canada. When some of their issues arouse they call agent support. Agent support is a team composed of two women Natacha Morisseau and Laura Hernandez. These two do an incredible job, they help agents who have problem recharging, creating new vendor accounts and even sign up new agents. They have set up a very simple method on how to approach the agents calling, Natacha takes care of all French and Creole speaking agents and Laura takes care of the Latin agents and they both share agents who speak English.
Natacha is known through the office as the “Paté girl” for she brings patties by the load on every Mondays and Wednesday. I must imply that she did not bring it this week which made couple of the employees cry (I was clearly one of them). She also likes to undergo little private investigations when processing new document.
Laura is a great worker she does her work very well, and has good work ethics. She is fairly new at Calldirek, she started working in February, but she picked up the agent vibe quite well. She keeps a very positive attitude and if ever your eyes were to fall on hers she will not stop laughing.
Taking care of all of Calldirek’s agents is a tough task but the agent support girls are committed to help the agents and they do it out of love. We thank them for their outstanding work and positive ambiance.

The Voices of Calldirek
“Thank you for calling Calldirek ...how may I help you?” This is
what you hear throughout the day at the office. The customer service department
is a group of very energetic people consisting of six CS representatives and a
manager, they receive calls raging from customers that need to recharge,
customers that have technical issues, to agents that need to make changes
on some recharges. On the busiest day, while the whole office seems a too busy
to smile, they
manage to always keep a smile.
Getting to know the Customer Service crew is a privilege at Calldirek for they
bring life to the office. Having been part of the crew before switching
position, I have the inside scoop on each member and how the everyday work life
is.
Emmanuel “Ti Georges” Georges, the youngest employee at
Calldirek is the gadget man, always talking about the newest gadget technology
coming out, bringing us “old dinosaurs” as he calls us, update on the world’s
newest inventions.
Roycesun “Roy” Clement, one could say he has a sixth sense, for he
picks up the phone faster than anyone else, as if he knew the call was already
coming. He is also an aspiring artist, on his free time you will catch him
drawing in his sketch books.
Farah is the most warming person at Calldirek, she comes in with a
positive attitude and leaves with that same attitude. No one can take her smile
away, for it is forever permanent. When Roy and Farah Baron are put
together it is total “gossip time” giving you the scoop on the latest TV shows.
Magdala Dorceus, part of the outgoing call reps will call
you, and her sweet voice will put you in a state of trance. If you were to
cough once she would not hesitate to take care of you.
Fabrice “You Know” Laforest is one of the funniest people at
Calldirek, with his strong Caribbean accent he charms the clients to call on a
daily basis.
Alexandre “Lelex” Liautaud the rapper will always drop a
line whenever he gets the chance. His laidback style allows everyone to be at
ease in his presence.
Last but not least, the CS manager Melissandre “Grand Patron”
Perez, moves to the beat of freedom, her joyful personality makes it an
enjoyable environment to work under. Though being teased everyday about her
petite stature, she makes it up with her motivation to succeed at everything
she does.

Calldirek’s Backbone
The IT department at
Calldirek is made up of two incredible individuals, Jose F. Puerta and Emmanuel
Piard. Entering into their office, all you see at first is monitors upon monitors
with weird symbols and digits, just like the "Matrix.” Many times I’ve
asked to explain what the symbols meant but after several seconds of explaining
they would lose me. Having three screens in front of them, they each
simultaneously monitor a different sector of the company, acting as the “BIG
BROTHER” of Calldirek. Sounds like a lot for just two people to do, especially
when the staff calls them for anything, even when the computer’s mouse is
unplugged.
The management decided
to hire outside programmers who would help take some of the load
off of their backs. Jose the I.T Director oversees the whole database and makes
sure that all outgoing calls are connected properly and without disturbance.
His, very peculiar yet very recognizable, laugh lightens the office, even on
the most dreadful days like promotion days. As for Emmanuel, the I.T Support,
programmer, he is like no other. He is constantly writing different
programs that keeps the website and database on check. He seems a bit shy at
first glance but will overcome you with his charm and passion for healthy
living style. With years of experience they manage to keep customers, partners
and staff very satisfied. For that we are very grateful and thank them for
their outstanding work.
